The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear out of place, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the group reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and Wicander turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them few options but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Viewers can look forward to learning which characters will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
